Location

Surroundings

House Villa Albina is located in Skitača. Skitača is a small place on the edge of the Raša peninsula with a beautiful view of the Kvarner islands. This location will impress you and fulfill all your wishes and expectations. The nearest beach is only 5 km away from the house. In free time we recommend a trip to the historic town of Labin or the nearby towns of the east coast. A settlement in the southeastern part of the Istrian peninsula, in the bay of the same name, located between the forested peninsula of Ubas in the west and Cape Koromačno in the east. The Koromačno settlement was created for the needs of a cement factory that uses tupina from the nearby Gradac hill, located above the Vošćica bay. The cement factory was built in 1925. In the center of the settlement was the church of Sv. Joseph, out of office today. Near Koromačno are located one of the most important archaeological and historical sites of the municipality of Raša. Underwater finds of amphorae dated to 4/5 were discovered in Koromačno Bay in the late 1980s. On the hill Gradac (475 m above sea level) there was a hillfort settlement dating from the Early Bronze Age to the Iron Age, but it was destroyed due to the exploitation of tupina in the quarry. On the same hill was the medieval tower of Turan, ruled by the Battiala family. North of the hillfort is the church of Sv. Ivan Glavosijek dated 13/14. century, with the remains of wall paintings from the 14th century. The church is of Romanesque style, with an inscribed semicircular apse, had a porch and a transept on the facade, which were removed in 1993 during the restoration of the church.

7.8
quiet location and great pool
Amenities: (8), Money value: (8), Service: (8), Location: (7)

The house is very quiet, but a bit out of the way. The pool is very pleasant, the house layout is O.K. The fridge is a bit small for 8 people. Unfortunately we had a lot of mosquitoes in August. Some things in the house would have to be repaired or supplemented. The sandwich maker had a frayed cord (risk of electric shock), there are only 7 cups, tiles on the patio and poolside have come off, and the coffee maker takes 30-45 minutes for a pot of coffee. Nevertheless we liked it very much. (Joachim 08/2023) (Joachim)

Nice villa with a spectacular view
Amenities: (8), Money value: (10), Service: (10), Location: (8)

We had a wonderful time at villa albina. The villa is on top of the mountains, in a little town called Skitaca. Its nature is beautiful. A 5-minute walk towards the top and you have a magnificent view over the Kvarner bay and you can see the island Cres from there. From the house you also have a really nice view towards the sea and the beautiful surroundings. The house itself has a lot of space, and the garden is very green too. Our dogs had a wonderful time, playing and walking around the house. There’s almost no traffic. It’s a very quiet place, where you won’t get disturbed. The bathrooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The infinity swimming pool is very big and from there you can have a look over the mountains and sea. Ravni beach and a little supermarket is 10 minutes away, as well as a little taverna called bistro Ravni (where you also can take away very good pizza’s) where the food was really good. The town Labin is a 30-minute drive away, with big supermarkets and nice restaurants. The old town is very beautiful. The owner of the house was very helpful and kind. (there was a little defect at the washing machine, one day later we got a new one). (Daphne )

Villa Albina
Amenities: (10), Money value: (8), Service: (10), Location: (8)

The house is perfect. The pool is great. The landlord and his son were very friendly and always available. The location is scenically great, but it is quite a long way to the nearest supermarket. Therefore only 3.5 stars for the location. But that is not a shortcoming of the house. If you love solitude, this is the place for you. But we also felt very comfortable. Regarding the price-performance ratio: In comparison to other houses in Istria, one could perhaps also give 5 stars. But I personally think that the price level has simply become too high. We had rented a similar house 5 years earlier. That only cost half and the location was much better. However, this currently costs just as much and is a bit smaller. So it fits. Some tips for improvement (it's really just small things): - Create a paved path from the terrace to the pool. You always carry the dirt into the house when you come out of the pool or you always have to put on slippers. But it's not just children who forget that from time to time. - Some more crockery and cutlery. Otherwise, with 8 people you have to run the dishwasher half full at least twice a day. - The larger decorative stones in the garden are nice, but prevent you from being able to play badminton or similar without running the risk of getting your feet caught there. If these were gone, nothing would stand in the way of family fun. (Michael)
