When booking, 10% of the total price must be paid, while the remaining 90% is due no later than 30 days before arrival. For cancellations 30 or more days before arrival, the deposit will be refunded, with a fee of €50 for administrative costs. For cancellations between 29 and 0 days before arrival, 100% of the total reservation price will be charged.

The name Karigador comes from the Italian word caricare (to board), because there was a port for loading oak logs intended for the Venetian arsenal (karatada), and later for the export of agricultural products from the wider area of Brtonigla. From the former port, there is still a pier for mooring boats.
